Saratoga High School Drama Program Selected for the
Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland for 2024

Los Gatos, February 3, 2023: The Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District (LGSUHSD) is proud to announce that Saratoga High School’s drama program is 1 of only 30 high schools across the country who have been selected to perform as part of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in Scotland in the summer of 2024. The Festival Fringe is the largest and longest running arts festival in the world.

 

After an extensive application process, students will be part of the American High School Theater Festival, a sought-after piece of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe that was developed to allow performing arts students and directors to showcase their talents on an international stage. 

Students’ journeys will begin in England, where they will explore London, see shows in the West End, and participate in a workshop at Shakespeare’s Globe. Students will then travel to Scotland where they will have guided sightseeing of Edinburgh and the opportunity to perform on the famous Royal Mile, a renowned part of Edinburgh’s Old Town in between Edinburgh Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

Sanderson. “Our student actors and staff directors and teachers are incredibly talented and I’m thrilled that they will be able to highlight their talent at such a well-known and respected festival.”
