Community Resources & Meal Support
November 4, 2025
Dear Families,
We understand that, due to the ongoing government shutdown, families who depend on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), known as CalFresh in California, may not have received their benefits on November 1. We recognize the hardship this may cause for those in our community and want to ensure that every family knows help is available.
Free Meals for All Students:
As a reminder, through California’s Universal Meals Program, all students are eligible to receive free nutritious breakfast and lunch each school day in our incredible cafeterias, regardless of household income. We encourage all students to take advantage of this program to ensure they are nourished and ready to learn.
Community Food Resources:
Second Harvest of Silicon Valley is leading local efforts to support families affected by these changes. To find food assistance near you, please visit https://www.shfb.org/
Additionally, West Valley Community Services also offers food and rental assistance for families that live in our community. Visit https://www.
Our schools are here to help connect families with resources and ensure that every student feels supported. Please reach out to your school office or counselor if your family is in need of assistance or guidance accessing these services.
We are grateful for the strength and care within our community and remain committed to supporting one another through this challenging time.
Warmest Regards,
Heath Rocha, Superintendent
