Superintendent's Message to the Community

November 2023

Dear LGSUHSD Community,

This past month, our Strategic Plan, We INSPIRE!, was adopted by our Board of Trustees. This is incredibly exciting for a few reasons:

    1.   This is our roadmap that will help guide our decisions and strategic direction.

    2.   With the goals developed by our entire community (students, staff, parents, neighbors, and elected officials), the action items and timeline are going to be succinctly decided in the coming months.

    3.   Each focus area is an opportunity to bring together our LGSUHSD community, including our elementary feeder districts, local businesses, and neighbors who make up the fabric of our community.

As we head into the holiday season, I am looking forward to leaning into our work, sharing our successes and challenges at local events, and having honest conversations with members of our community about our accomplishments, our wishes, and the steps needed to get there. I would love to come out and present or even just chat with you or a group you may belong to. Our district is remarkable, but there are upcoming obstacles we must overcome together. November reminds me to pause and find gratitude in all things, big and small. I am grateful for this opportunity to serve as your partner in education. I wish you and your family a restful and joyous season.
