Post-Secondary

The District's award-winning Post-Secondary Program provides ongoing support for students with mild to moderate disabilities who have Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and are not eligible for a traditional high school diploma. Located on the West Valley College campus, the program helps students build independence and prepare for adulthood.

There are many examples of the power and impact of the district's Post-Secondary program. Students may:

  • Access West Valley College (WVC) campus activities and appropriate courses
  • Team up with athletes and coaches at WVC through Unified Sports for a more integrated athletic opportunity
  • Volunteer across the county in a variety of settings
  • Access work training opportunities through the Transition Partnership Program

Community and social events may include:

  • Honors Day (a special ceremony that recognizes students who will be exiting the program - all students are invited to attend)
  • Transition Social Event  (an annual social event to build community with other post-secondary programs)
  • Fundraising Events to support these special activities
