Strategic Plan

Thank you to the 38 members of our community, students, parents, staff and Board ofStrat plan Trustees for your thoughtful insight, hard work and commitment producing a strategic plan/vision for the Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District.

The Mission of the District is to optimize the learning of each student.

  • As a community of learners committed to excellence, we promote lifelong learning, personal integrity,
  • social responsibility and positive physical and mental health.
  • Members of our educational community will make meaningful, positive contributions to the world.

Our District is a thriving learning community...

  • Where all are valued and recognized for their talents and contributions...
  • Where every person optimizes his or her potential...
  • Where members of the community embrace individual choices and healthy passions...
  • Where students and staff stretch and shine...
  • Where all grow and learn in a collaborative, nurturing environment...
  • And experience a zest for lifelong learning!

The Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District is required to develop a Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) on an yearly basis.  This plan outlines annual goals for our students that are directly aligned to our district strategic plan.

The LGSUHSD LCAP goals are:

1. LGSUHSD will foster and support excellence in academic achievement with relevant and engaging learning experiences with a focus on the 4Cs: critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration.

2. LGSUHSD will develop and integrate social-emotional learning, including life balance and healthy well-being, into the school experience.

3. LGSUHSD will engage all students with everyday access to "21st Century" learning modalities and tools.

An anonymous district survey allowed all stakeholders to provide input regarding the district's LCAP.  In addition, members of the community were invited to attend one of two LCAP Stakeholder Input sessions, held on March 26, 2018 from 4:00pm-6:30pm in the Saratoga High School Library and April 2, 2018 from 4:00pm-6:30pm in the Los Gatos High School Library.
