Quizza Study Tools Website

Los Gatos, December 12, 2022: The Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District (LGSUHSD) is proud to announce that Los Gatos High School students Ryland Goldman and Collin Wentzien have created Quizza, a free website for peers to study, creating digital flashcards and study tools that are shared among peers. Quizza was launched as an alternative option for study websites that began charging students for their full service.

As students approach finals week, founders Ryland and Collin worked with teachers at Los Gatos High School to use and promote Quizza. They began to create Quizza in mid-October and had a fully functioning beta site within 48 hours, launching it the following Monday with few issues. Advertising their peer-to-peer website through flyers and a remote-controlled car around campus displaying a QR code, Quizza received 3,800 pageviews in its first week.

“I am thrilled to see our students innovatively solve problems for a common good,” shared Bill W. Sanderson, Superintendent of the Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District. “These students found a need and not only created a resourceful solution, but they implemented an advertising plan to get it in the hands of as many students as possible. I am proud of their real-world critical and collaborative solutions.”

Ryland and Collin are hoping to expand Quizza to other schools in the area. With the hopes of maintaining their mission of keeping these study tools free to students, Ryland and Collin are reviewing how to raise capital to cover costs and maintenance.
