Summer School
Summer School will be located at Saratoga High School (20300 Herriman Avenue), starting June 12-June 3 and be the hours of 8:30-12:40. Lunch will be provided.
Because you are receiving make-up credit for an entire semester in three weeks, attendance at summer school is mandatory. Some points to keep in mind;

Summer School attendance is mandatory. There are no excused absences.

Students are allowed 1 absence for the 3 weeks. Upon the 2nd absence, students will be dropped.

Exceptions cannot be made for vacations, pre-Olympic team tournaments, or even illnesses, so please plan accordingly.

On June 3rd, the final day of summer school, students need to stay until 12:40 and cannot take their final early.
Key Summer Class Offerings

In-Person Credit Recovery Summer School: These are traditional summer school classes that include English 9, English 10, English 11, Biology, US History, World History, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry. These 3-week in-person classes are designed for students who need to make up course credits to remain on track for graduation.

Online Credit Recovery – (New): This is a flexible option for students who need additional time and support in making up credits while maintaining summer commitments. Students will be enrolled in the district-adopted online platform. During the first three weeks, in-person support will be available during summer school hours, but daily attendance is not required. During the second half of summer (July 7-July 25) there will be 2 hours per day of asynchronous support & virtual appointments. Students can only enroll in one class at a time but can complete multiple classes over the summer.

In-Person Ramp Up to Precalculus Honors – (New): This limited space course is designed for rising 10th–12th grade students who would like to enroll in PreCalculus Honors during the 2025-26 school year. Students must be currently enrolled in Algebra 2 and meet the following criteria:

Completion of Algebra 2 with “A” grade in semester 1.

Completion of Geometry with “A” grade in both semesters.

Completion of in-seat Algebra 1 course with “A” grade in both semesters.

Upon completion of the Ramp Up course students must demonstrate proficiency in the end-of-course summative assessment in order to enroll in PreCalculus Honors during the 2025-26 school year. If you are interested in attending Ramp Up to PreCalculus Honors and meet the above criteria, please complete this form.

In-Person Extended School Year (ESY)/Post Secondary Program: This is open to our Community Based Instruction (CBI) students at Saratoga High School and at West Valley College/Post Secondary program. Students will attend at SHS or at West Valley depending on where they attended during the 2024/2025 school year. Both classes will take place Monday, June 9, 2025 - Thursday, July 3, 2025 from 8:30 and end at 2:00pm.
