Accountability
The Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School District uses multiple indicators to ensure that our schools and programs are educating the whole child and providing greater professional learning opportunities for teachers. We choose to work collaboratively with our students and staff, to set new standards for cross-district learning communities, sharing best practices that unequivocally drive student achievement. Our various accountability measures provide districts, school sites, parents and the community a broader view of LGSUHSD, providing real-time data and resources that can impact change in the present. Understanding that preparing students for college and career goes deeper than achievement, LGSUHSD not only measures academic performance and academic growth, but retention and completion, social-emotional indicators, and culture and climate measures.
With these multiple measures, we can take a more holistic approach of educating the whole child. The Index and the reports included here are designed to help school communities identify strengths that can be leveraged and challenges that need addressing. LGSUHSD has among the highest four-year graduation rates across the country, but we believe our work is not done. These tools provide us a broader net to help all students develop the skills, passions, confidence, and resiliency to pursue college and/or career pathways.
