Employees of the Year, 2013!

Jeanne Jamieson _SAR.jpgCongratulations to Jeanne Jamieson, SHS Registrar and Student Information Tech, named the LGSUHSD Classified Employee of the Year, 2013!  Jeanne is described as the consummate professional and the "go-to-person," whether it be for a transcript, a last minute report or a new schedule.  Every new request is met with the same positive attitude and willing smile.  She is the academic historian, data whiz and welcoming committee for new families.

Ann Jordan_LG.jpgLGHS World Languages teacher and Department Chair, Ann Jordan has been named the district Teacher of the Year, 2013. She is known for her passion for students, modeling a heart for diversity and the benefits of the richness found in diverse cultures.  She empowers her students as learners and as human beings and inspires both her peers and her students and encourages them to grow and take risks.  This year, Ann was also recognized for being the California Language Teachers' Association Teacher of the Year.

District Volunteers of the Year, 2013!

volunteers of the year.JPGDianne and Bob France have set the record for volunteer hours at SHS.  Their commitment to the SHS Robotics team, MSET – Flying Fish, is incredible.  Their organization, fund raising, construction, and outreach have put Robotics at the forefront of school activities.  They’ve been involved in football games, basketball games, assemblies, community gatherings, and many school events.  Dianne and Bob are in and out of our offices and campus at all hours of the day.  They certainly spend their weekends living and breathing Robotics competitions.  This “club” has become a cultural icon at SHS and Bob and Dianne's Red Pride shows!.  LGSUHSD is honored to have Dianne and Bob France as the district Volunteers of the Year, 2013.
