U.S. News and World Report analyzed 21,776 public high schools in 49 states and the District of Columbia and came up with their 2012 rankings for high schools across the country.  Both Saratoga High and Los Gatos High Schools received excellent rankings with SHS ranked 31^st in California and 157^th in the country and LGHS ranked 105^th and 540^th respectively.  This impressive ranking puts SHS in the top 1% of schools and LGHS in the top 2% of schools nationwide!
